After 25 years teaching music at LSU, our head roaster turned his passion for coffee into a second career — bringing the same precision and attention to detail to every roast. Crafted with the Southern palate in mind, Bayou Blend is well-balanced on its own, yet its rich chocolate notes still shine even when mixed with milk or served over ice.
In the cup, expect notes of baker's chocolate and toasted nut with a little honey sweetness and a fruity brightness. Full-bodied yet easy to enjoy — perfect for a daily cup or a Baton Rouge gameday.
Ethically Sourced, Expertly Roasted
Great coffee starts at the farm. We work with trusted partners to source specialty-grade Arabica beans from high-elevation regions across the world.
Bayou Blend currently features two South American origins. Our Brazilian bean is grown at 900 meters above sea level in the country's Cerrado region; its natural cocoa character delivers a rich chocolate base with notes of almond and a strong body. This is balanced by our Colombian bean from the country's renowned "Coffee Triangle", with notes of honey and tree fruit adding some sweetness and acidic brightness.
